BRADLEY R. BURGET DISTRICT ATTORNEY, 7TH JDC
Bradley R. Burget was elected District Attorney for Catahoula and Concordia Parishes on October 4, 2008, and assumed office in January of 2009.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana Tech University and his Juris Doctor from Paul M. Hebert Law Center (LSU).
Brad is the son of Sandra Barrett Burget and the late Rex O. Burget of Lake Concordia. Prior to his election as District Attorney, Brad served as First Assistant District Attorney and as Assistant District Attorney under the late John F. Johnson from 2002 to 2008 in Catahoula and Concordia Parishes. He also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Jefferson Parish from 1998 to 2002.
Brad is a member of Ferriday Rotary Club, a member of the National District Attorney's Association, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana District Attorney Association. Brad is also the Cubmaster for Local Cub Scout Pack 158 and is a coach and sponsor for numerous youth sporting teams.
Brad and his wife, Heather Dennig Burget, have two children, Barrett and Adeline. They attend Vidalia Presbyterian Church in Vidalia, Louisiana, where Brad serves as an Elder.
